Honda, a Japanese manufacturer of two-wheeled vehicles, had previously made intentions to launch 10 or more electric versions worldwide by 2025. The next Honda electric scooter for India is anticipated to make its debut on 23rd January 2023.

On 23rd January 2023, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) will introduce a brand-new two-wheeler, teasing that "a new smart" is on the way. In addition, the most popular scooter range, Honda Activa, is set to receive a new hybrid technology. Honda is the leading scooter maker in India. The phrase "H-Smart" is also mentioned in a teaser of the Honda Activa hybrid.

Honda may soon roll out a new hybrid technology designed to increase productivity and reduce customer operating costs. Some publications even claim that it may be a hybrid system that employs a separate battery that is recharged by regenerative tech like that seen on an EV.

In related news, HMSI just disclosed their overall December 2022 sales results. This Japanese automaker's Indian unit sold 2,50,171 two-wheelers in the previous month, an increase of 11% year over year. The remaining 17,020 units were exported, leaving 2,33,151 units for retail sale on the domestic market.

The number of Honda sales over the same time period the previous year was 2,23,621. The company sold 2,10,612 domestic units and 13,009 exported units in December 2021 respectively. However, the sales performance for November 2022 fell by a staggering 32.9% compared to December 2022 (MoM).
