TVS iQube Scooters Recalled in India Due to Safety Concerns

TVS Motor, in a proactive move to ensure your protection, has introduced a voluntary recall of its popular TVS iQube electric scooter. This TVS iQube recalled in India as per more safety for its users. This affects gadgets manufactured between July 10, 2023, and September 09, 2023.

• Could affect around 45,000 units.
• Corrective measures at no cost to the customer
• The company has not disclosed the number of units affected, but sales data from the same period last year indicate that approximately 45,000 units were sold between August and October 2023.
• TVS says that it will connect with the concerned customers either directly or through its dealers. 

TVS Ensures Immediate Inspection and Free Repairs for iQube Scooters 

 

We understand that your time is valuable. The inspection and any necessary repairs will be completed immediately to ensure your safety. Selection will be made in a phased manner for screening purposes. The TVS will arrange an appointment, service the vehicle immediately, and return it the next day.

If the necessary corrections are made, the part can be replaced, although it will need to be done on a specific vehicle. TVS Electric Scooter believes that most scooters will only require partial replacement. However, the entire chassis will be replaced if necessary. This process must be done free of cost to the client, which will remove the financial burden.

While the TVS adds that the step is "to ensure better in vehicle handling than long-term use," the rest may be a widely shared video featuring the TVS electric scooter in India. Its broken chassis response includes a specific group of scooters, suggesting that the issue may be due to faulty components rather than a basic design flaw. It is also encouraging to know that the company promptly reports recalls and takes necessary corrective action shortly after the incident arises.
