
Electric two wheeler retail sales reached 2,07,314 units in September 2026, according to FADA Research data. These figures cover 1,468 of 1,469 RTOs across India.
Sales rose 13.16% from August and 88.67% from September 2025. TVS Motor Company led the market with 54,037 units. The growth points to stronger retail demand for electric scooters and motorcycles across the Indian market. It shows how electric mobility gained more retail traction among Indian buyers during the month.
TVS sales rose 10.42% monthly and 125.87% yearly. Bajaj Auto followed with 48,429 units, up 17.79% monthly. Ather Energy ranked third with 30,533 units. Hero MotoCorp sold 24,321 units, up 27.96% monthly.
Ola Electric sold 13,451 units. Its sales fell 2.89% from August and 2.96% year on year.

Electric two wheelers accounted for 11.6% of the overall two wheeler market in September 2026, according to FADA Research. This was higher than 10.7% in August 2026 and 8.2% in September 2025. The rise shows stronger electric vehicle adoption, with September retail sales reaching 2,07,314 units, up 88.67% year on year.
Higher retail volumes mean more choice. Sales data does not show range, service quality or ownership costs. Therefore, buyers should compare prices, running costs and daily usage before choosing.
