TVS Announced December Sales 2023 With 25% Growth In YOY

TVS Motor Company started the new year with its best December performance. The company has marked a remarkable 25% YoY growth in total unit sales. This showcases to 3,01,898 units sold in December 2023, compared to 2,42,012 units in the same month 2022. TVS has recorded 33.14% growth in domestic sales and 7.54% in exports.

The two-wheeler segment has witnessed a phenomenal 27.41% growth. This translates to 290,064 units sold in December 2023, compared to 227,666 units in the corresponding period of 2022. However, domestic two-wheeler sales rose higher, registering 33.23% YoY growth with 214,988 units sold, compared to 161,369 units in December 2022.

Here is the report of TVS's YoY December sales:

TVS saw a growth of 18.72% in the motorcycle segment, gaining 23,344 more units this year.
In the scooter, TVS also increased by 34.39%, selling 26,401 extra units as compared to last year’s 76,766, and in the e-scooter, it rose by 1.45%.
The company sold 38,848 units in December 2023 as compared to 26,195 units in 2022 and saw a hike of 48.30%.

Moreover, the Jupiter 125 and NTORQ 125 continued their dominance in the scooter segment. As the Indian two-wheeler market continues to witness an upward trend, TVS is well-positioned. However, TVS has not shown much impact on their MoM sales.

The company sold 1,48,049 bikes in Dec. 2023 compared to 1,72,836 units in Nov. 2023.
TVS has seen a decline in sales of scooters by 24.00% and e-scooters by 33.07 units.
In December 2023, the company sold 38,848 Moped from last month’s 43,518.

However, TVS’s exports (2w+3w) MoM sales have risen by 13.55%. TVS's December 2023 sales performance is promising for a better year ahead. The company's continued focus on innovation and strengthening its presence in rural markets is likely to fuel its growth further.
