The Triumph Trident 800 has started reaching select dealerships in India, with limited stock available. Although Triumph Motorcycles India has not officially announced its launch or listed the motorcycle on its Indian website, dealerships have confirmed a price of Rs 10.95 lakh (ex-showroom).

The standard colour option costs Rs 10.95 lakh (ex showroom). Meanwhile, buyers who prefer Ash Grey or Carnival Red must pay Rs 11.10 lakh (ex showroom). The motorcycle made its global debut in October last year and sits above the Trident 660 in Triumph’s naked bike lineup.

Triumph Trident 800: Engine and Features

Triumph Trident 800

The Triumph Trident 800 uses a 798cc, inline-three-cylinder engine shared with the Tiger Sport 800. It produces 115bhp at 10,750rpm and 84Nm of torque at 8,500rpm. These figures place it in the performance-focused middleweight motorcycle segment.

In addition, the bike gets a steel perimeter frame, Showa 41mm SFF-BP USD front forks, and a rear monoshock. Its electronic features include six axis IMU-based cornering ABS and cornering traction control. Riders can also choose Road, Sport and Rain modes according to their riding conditions.

Furthermore, the motorcycle offers cruise control, Bluetooth connectivity and a 3.5 inch TFT instrument console. These features add useful information and riding support for different journeys.

Triumph Trident 800 vs Street Triple R

At Rs 10.95 lakh, the Trident 800 costs around Rs 10,000 more than the Street Triple R. Both motorcycles offer comparable performance figures on paper. However, the Trident 800 weighs 9kg more and uses a steel perimeter frame instead of the Street Triple R’s aluminium twin-spar frame.

The Street Triple R also gets fully adjustable suspension and a larger 5 inch TFT display. Therefore, buyers can compare their features, weight and suspension setup before making a choice.

Since the Trident 800 has limited stock at select dealerships, interested buyers should contact their nearest Triumph dealership to confirm the final price, colour availability and delivery details.
