Spotted: Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 - Here’s What to Expect!

The upcoming Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 was recently spotted testing. This will be the fourth model in the 

RE’s 650cc range follows the Interceptor 650, Super Meteor 650, and Continental GT 650. By the looks of the Shotgum 650, the launch might not be that far now.

Features of Shotgun 650

Analysing the leaked images the RE bike should feature the following - 

• LED headlamps
• Footpegs
• Twin-pod semi-digital instrument cluster
• Smaller pod tripper for turn-by-turn navigation
• Alloy wheels 
• Disc brakes at both end with dual-channel ABS

In addition to these, the RE Shotgun 650 has a black finish, pea-shooter exhaust, and fenders. Its highlights include underslung bar-end mirrors, low and wide handlebars, and mid-set footpegs. The final model of the bike could come with chunky Metzeler RoadTech 01 tires.

Engine Specifications for Shotgun 650

The upcoming Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 will likely use a 648cc, air/oil-cooled, parallel-twin engine. This is the same motor that powers the RE Interceptor 650 and the Continental GT 650. Its power and torque figures are 47.65PS and 52Nm, respectively. Interestingly, the Shotgun 650 could be the first bike from the brand to get an inverted fork suspension unit at the front.

Expected Price of Shotgun 650 

Royal Enfield is expected to reveal the pricing and availability of the upcoming Shotgun 650 in the coming months. However, we expect the price of this bike to be around Rs 3.3 lakh (ex-showroom). The bike is in the final stages of its testing, so the launch date might not be that far off.
