Royal Enfield Releases December 2023 Sales Reports

The iconic Indian motorcycle manufacturer Royal Enfield posted their results for December 2023 sales. While overall sales dipped to 63,384 units or 7.33% compared to the same month last year. Moreover, based on MoM, the Royal Enfield has de-growth around 80,251 bikes in November 2023.

Moreover, the Sub 350cc segment has seen a decline in YoY and MoM reports. This segment includes bikes like Bullet, Hunter, Classic, Meteor and Electra. In December 2022, 61223 units were sold, meanwhile, 55401 units were sold this year. Apart from this, the company lineup has an 87.40% share in the Sub 350cc segment. Moreover, the Royal Enfield has also seen a fall in MoM sales by 25.41% in November.

Royal Enfield bikes above 350cc such as Himalayan, Super Metor and 650 Twin have experienced a growth in YOY sales. Last year 7177 bikes were sold however, 7986 units were sold this year by 11.27%. Moreover, in MoM sales, it also grew by 33.63% 5976 bikes sold in November 2023.

Here are the details of YoY and MoM sales of Domestic and Exports.

Domestic- It is de-growth by 4.23% in YoY sales 59,821 units in December 2022 and on the other hand 57,291 units this year. Moreover, MoM sales also fell by 23.75%.
Exports- Royal Enfield has declined by 28.94% in YoY sales from 8,579 units in December 2022 to 6,096 units this year. Moreover, it grew by 19.20% to 6,096 units.

Royal Enfield sales are up 11% in YTD sales, but smaller bikes lead the charge:

Overall sales reached 685,059 units, an 11% increase compared to last year.
Smaller bikes (up to 350cc) drove the growth with a 13.20% increase, selling 611,947 units.
Bigger bikes (above 350cc) saw a slight dip of 3.5% but still totalled 73,112 units.
Exports dropped significantly by 25%, coming in at 54,786 units.
