Royal Enfield July 2023 Sales Report Registers A 42% Hike in Domestic Sales

Royal Enfield has finally released its sales numbers for the month of July 2023. The company has clocked in a remarkable growth of 42% in its domestic sales. However, saw a dip of 22% in its YoY export numbers. In addition, the RE has experienced a 31.61% YoY growth in the past month. 

Overall, the brand clocked in total sales, including domestic and exports, registered at 73,117 units in July 2023, as opposed to 55,555 units sold in July 2022. Hence, the company saw a rise of 17,562 unit sales growth.

Apart from these, Royal Enfield is also planning to launch new bikes, including New-Gen Bullet 350 & Himalayan 450. 

Royal Enfield Sales Figures for July 2023

In July 2023, Royal Enfield faced a decrease in sales of their 350cc segment by 5.42% compared to the previous year. They sold 8,719 units, which was 500 units less than the sales in July 2022, resulting in an 11.92% market share. The exports also declined by 21.84% from July 2022 to July 2023, with 7,055 units shipped, representing a decrease of 1,971 units. The current share of exports stands at 9.65%.

When we look at the sales on a monthly basis, Royal Enfield experienced an overall sales drop of 5.18% in July 2023 compared to June 2023, which had sales of 77,109 units. The sales of 350cc bikes fell by 6.21%, but there was an increase in sales of 350cc+ bikes by 3.24%. In June 2023, they sold 8,445 units, which improved to 8,719 units in July 2023.

In July 2023, the total domestic sales of Royal Enfield decreased by 2.12% compared to June 2023, with 67,495 units sold in June. Exports also suffered a decline of 26.62% from June 2023, with 2,559 units less, totalling 9,614 units shipped.

On a positive note, Royal Enfield's Hunter 350cc model achieved a significant milestone by surpassing 2 lakh unit sales. This is remarkable because the Hunter 350 was launched in August 2022 and reached its first milestone of 1 lakh units in February 2023, just 6 months after its launch. The second 1 lakh units were sold in the following 5 months, making it a total of 2 lakh units sold in less than 12 months since its launch.
