Royal Enfield has launched the Classic 350 Gorkha Edition in India at Rs. 2.11 lakh (ex-showroom, New Delhi). The new special edition celebrates the courage and spirit of the Gorkha Regiment of the Indian Army. Bookings for the motorcycle have also started.
The Gorkha Edition keeps the familiar Classic 350 design but adds a special Gorkha Green colour and unique details. In addition, Royal Enfield has introduced a matching collection of riding gear and lifestyle products with the same theme.
The biggest change on the Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition comes in its appearance. It gets a distinctive Gorkha Green paint scheme, which gives the motorcycle a different look from the standard Classic 350.
The bike also gets a special insignia featuring the famous crossed Khukris. This symbol connects the motorcycle with the Gorkha Regiment and gives the special edition its identity.
However, Royal Enfield has kept the overall Classic 350 design unchanged. The motorcycle continues with its familiar round headlight, classic fuel tank and upright riding position. Therefore, buyers still get the same basic Classic 350 look with special Gorkha-themed touches.
The special edition comes with some useful features for everyday riding. It gets an assist and slipper clutch, which helps make gear changes smoother and reduces effort during downshifts.
In addition, the Royal Enfield motorcycle gets a Type-C USB fast-charging port. This allows riders to charge compatible smartphones while riding.
Perhaps these features will make the Classic 350 Gorkha Edition more convenient for daily use and longer rides.
Royal Enfield has not made any changes to the motorcycle's engine. The Gorkha Edition continues with the same 349cc, air-cooled, J-series engine used in the standard Classic 350.
The engine produces 20.1 bhp and 27 Nm of peak torque. It works with a five-speed gearbox. As a result, this cruiser bike continues to offer the familiar Classic 350 riding experience.
Moreover, keeping the same engine means buyers can expect similar performance to the standard model. The focus of this special edition remains its design and Gorkha-themed details rather than mechanical changes.
Along with the motorcycle, Royal Enfield has also launched a new Gorkha Collection of riding gear and lifestyle merchandise.
The collection includes Jet and Quest helmets, high-ankle leather boots, multifunctional headgear, apparel and collectables. The products feature design elements inspired by military uniforms and regimental details.
The crossed Khukris motif also appears across parts of the collection. Therefore, customers who want to match their riding gear with the special edition motorcycle will have several options.

Overall, the Gorkha Edition adds a special colour, unique insignia, and themed accessories to the popular Classic 350. However, Royal Enfield has kept the engine and overall design unchanged. This makes the new edition mainly a style-focused option for buyers who want a Classic 350 with a distinct identity.
