Revolt Launches New RVX Electric Motorcycle at Rs. 1.25 Lakh

Revolt Motors has expanded its electric motorcycle portfolio with the launch of the Revolt RVX in India. The new electric bike carries an introductory price of Rs. 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom)and targets young riders looking for a sporty and feature-rich electric motorcycle. In addition, the RVX comes with a new mid-drive motor, a removable battery pack, and a claimed IDC-certified range of 160 km on a single charge.

Powerful Motor and Long Battery Range

The Revolt RVX uses a mid-mounted Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) that produces 4 kW of continuous power and 5.3 kW of peak power. The company claims the motorcycle delivers 230 Nm of rear-wheel torque, accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in just 3.9 seconds, and reaches a top speed of 90 kmph in Boost mode.

Furthermore, the motorcycle draws power from a 3.24kWh removable NMC battery pack. Revolt claims an IDC-certified riding range of 160 km. Using a fast charger, riders can charge the battery from 0 to 80 percent in around 80 minutes, making it convenient for daily commuting.

Modern Features and Riding Modes

Like other premium Revolt Electric Bikes, the RVX comes loaded with several modern features. It gets a 3.5-inch IP67-rated PMVA display with Bluetooth connectivity, telematics, and over-the-air software updates.

In addition, riders can choose from Boost, Sport, City, and Eco riding modes depending on road conditions. Other useful features include geofencing, hill-hold assist, reverse mode, walk assist, vehicle locator, call and message alerts, and an immobiliser. Buyers can choose from Pearl Black, Electric Blue, and Eclipse Red colour options.

Price and Competition

The Revolt RVX is priced at Rs. 1.25 lakh (ex-showroom), including applicable PM E-DRIVE incentives. In Delhi, the effective ex-showroom price comes down to Rs. 94,990 after state EV policy benefits. The motorcycle will be available through more than 200 Revolt dealerships across India. 

However, competition in this segment is growing rapidly. The RVX goes up against the recently launched Oben Rorr EVO, while it also fits between the RV BlazeX, RV400 BRZ, and RV400 in Revolt's own lineup. Overall, the new RVX strengthens Revolt's electric motorcycle range by offering strong performance, practical features, and an attractive price. Perhaps it could become a popular choice for riders looking to switch to electric mobility without compromising on performance.
