Orxa Mantis E-Motorcycle Launched at Rs 3.6 Lakhs

Orxa Energies recently introduced the Mantis electric motorcycle in India at Rs. 3.6 Lakhs for the single available variant. However, the Orxa Mantis does not qualify for FAME II subsidies despite its premium pricing. However, the brand includes a 1.3 kW charger with every purchase.

Orxa Mantis E-Motorcycle: Specs

The Orxa Mantis is powered by an electric motor, producing 27.8 bhp & 93 Nm of torque, resulting in a top speed of 135 kmph. This motor can reach from 0 to 100 kmph in just 8.9 seconds. In addition, this motor is liquid-cooled, being India’s 1st electric motorcycle to use this tech. The tech was used to keep the size & weight of the motor down, weighing only 11.5 kg.

The Mantis comes with a battery of 8.9 kWh, offering a claimed IDC range of 221 km on a single charge. This range is 14 km more than the Ultraviolette F77, despite the less power. However, the Mantis weighs 182 kg, while the F77 weighs 197 kg.

Moreover, the Mantis comes with a 1.3 kW standard charger bundled. Additionally, Orxa has a faster 3.3 kW charger available. You can either mount both of these chargers on the wall or use them as portable units.

Orxa Mantis E-Motorcycle: Design

The Mantis has a more conventional design compared to the other premium electric motorcycles in the segment such as - the Ultraviolette F77. However, this is counted as a premium in terms of pricing. This bike has an aggressive street naked aesthetic with aggressive twin pod LED headlamps. This bike also features a sharp cowl on the tank alongside a number of cuts & creases.

Orxa Mantis E-Motorcycle: Price & Booking

The Orxa has launched the model & announced the price. Orxa has opened the bookings for the Orxa Mantis. The 1st thousand customers can now book this at Rs. 10,000 after which the booking amount will be increased up to Rs. 25,000. The Orxa is also planning to start deliveries for the Mantis next year in April.
