Kinetic Engineering Announces Rs. 57 Crore Investment to Expand EV Business

Pune, Maharashtra, September 24, 2026: Kinetic Engineering has announced an additional Rs. 57 crore investment to support its electric scooter and automotive component businesses. The company plans to use this investment to expand its EV operations and meet new driveline orders from overseas markets.

Rs. 57 Crore Investment to Support New Orders

The investment comes through the final conversion of 44.51 lakh warrants issued to the promoters in March 2025. Of the total amount, around Rs. 17 crore will support Kinetic Engineering’s driveline business.

The company has received new driveline orders for exports to Europe and Mexico. These orders are worth around Rs. 500 crore over seven years. In addition, the remaining Rs. 40 crore will go to Kinetic Watts & Volts (KWV), the company’s electric two-wheeler business.

Kinetic has recently relaunched the iconic Kinetic DX as an electric scooter. The company says the model and its DX+ version are receiving a strong response from buyers.

The scooters offer up to 132 km of IDC range and use an upgraded 3.1 kWh LFP battery. They also get 37 litre under seat storage, a metal body, Easy Charge, Easy Flip and Easy Key features.

In addition, the scooters come with Kinetic Assist and My Kiney voice-enabled features. The Kinetic DX has also received the “Viewers’ Choice EV Scooter of the Year” recognition.

Kinetic Targets Top 10 EV Brand Position

Kinetic has signed letters of intent with more than 150 dealers, while over 60 dealers are already operational. These outlets offer sales, service and spare parts support. However, the company is not stopping with its current network. Kinetic aims to enter the top 10 electric vehicle brands in India as electric two-wheeler adoption grows.

According to the company, EV two-wheeler penetration could reach around 26% by FY2030, with the market growing from about 1.8 million to 7 million.

Kinetic has also increased promoter shareholding from 50% to 69.27% over the past four years. Furthermore, Kinetic Watts & Volts recently won two titles at India’s Best Design Awards 2026, supporting its focus on EV design and development.
