Jawa 42 FJ New Colours Launched In India: Prices Hiked Across Variants

Jawa has launched six new colours for the 42 FJ in India, with prices starting at Rs 2.01 lakh (ex showroom). The company introduced these shades to give buyers more styling choices.

However, the motorcycle has received no mechanical changes with this update. The base colour now costs Rs 6,992 more than before. The top colour option carries a Rs 10,992 higher price. This makes the new colour update relevant for buyers comparing the motorcycle with other roadsters. 

The Jawa 42 FJ continues to compete with the Triumph Speed T4, Royal Enfield Classic 350, and Hunter 350.

The Jawa 42 FJ six new colour options offer different styling themes for buyers.

All Stars Red

All Stars Red features a red and silver dual tone finish, complemented by black components for a sporty and contrasting visual appeal.

All Stars Nebula Blue

All Stars Nebula Blue combines dark blue paint with silver detailing, while black mechanical components add a darker contrast to the overall design.

All Stars Chrome

All Stars Chrome features a chrome finished fuel tank, paired with an all black treatment across the remaining bodywork and mechanical components.

Aurora Green

Aurora Green gets an olive green paint finish with silver detailing on the fuel tank and blacked-out components for added contrast.

Deep Matte Black Red

Deep Matte Black Red combines matte black bodywork with a bright red fuel tank section, creating a strong contrast across the motorcycle.

Deep Matte Black

Deep Matte Black features an almost entirely black finish across the motorcycle, giving it a subtle appearance with a darker overall character.

The colour choices can help buyers personalise the motorcycle without changing its basic riding package.

Engine And Mechanical Setup

Mechanically, the Jawa bike remains unchanged after the new colour introduction. It continues with a 334cc liquid cooled, single cylinder engine. The engine produces 28.7 bhp and 29.6 Nm of torque. A six speed gearbox sends power to the rear wheel.

The motorcycle uses telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. It rides on 17 inch wheels and gets disc brakes at both ends.

The new colours mainly change the motorcycle's appearance, while the underlying mechanical package stays the same. Buyers therefore pay more primarily for the updated colour choices. The base option now starts at Rs 2,01,942 ex showroom in Delhi. The highest colour option commands an additional Rs 10,992 over its previous price.

For buyers with a fixed budget, this price increase could influence the final variant choice.
