Honda ADV 160 Maxi-Scooter Launched in India at Rs 1.70 Lakh

Honda has launched the ADV 160 in India at Rs. 1.70 lakh, ex-showroom. The adventure styled maxi scooter costs more than its main rivals. The ADV 160 competes with the Yamaha Aerox 155, Hero Xoom 160, TVS Ntorq 150 and Aprilia SR 175. Honda will sell the scooter through its Redwing and Bigwing dealerships.

Honda ADV 160 Engine and Hardware

The Honda ADV 160 uses a 156.9cc, liquid cooled, single cylinder engine. It produces 16.09bhp and 14.9Nm, while a CVT handles the transmission.

In addition, the scooter gets an idle stop start system to help improve fuel efficiency. It also supports E85 fuel, giving buyers more fuel options.

The ADV 160 uses a steel frame with telescopic front forks and twin rear shock absorbers. Braking duties include front and rear disc brakes with single channel ABS.

Wheels and Design

The scooter gets a 14 inch front wheel and a 13 inch rear wheel. However, its design makes it different from regular scooters.

The ADV 160 features a tall windscreen, sharp body panels and a muscular front apron. It also gets dual LED headlights, handguards and a stepped seat.

Honda ADV 160 Features

Honda has equipped the scooter with several modern features. These include a TFT display with Honda RoadSync and turn by turn navigation.

In addition, it gets a USB charging socket and Honda Selectable Torque Control. The scooter also offers 27 litre under seat storage, which can hold a full face helmet.

Overall, the Honda ADV 160 combines adventure styling, strong features and a powerful engine. However, its higher price could make buyers compare it closely with its rivals. Honda ADV 160 bookings are now open through the official website and authorised dealerships for Rs. 5,000. Deliveries of the Honda ADV 160 are expected to begin by mid-October 2026.
