Honda has unveiled its smaller ADV at EICMA 2026, the Honda ADV 125. The newly unveiled Honda ADV 125 comes with styling similar to that of its bigger siblings, and this will be Honda's most affordable ADV offering. However, it is not certain whether this model will make its way to the Indian market, but it seems like an interesting model for the highly competitive Indian market. Honda has recently launched the ADV 160 in India, and this can be a good option for Indian customers as well. Now, let's delve into the details of the new Honda ADV 125.

The newly unveiled ADV 125 boasts a design similar to that of the ADV 160 and ADV 350. This styling gives it a more appealing stance, with a muscular front profile featuring a tall windscreen and a dual-headlamp setup with LED DRLs. The side profile consists of proper maxi-scooter styling that makes it more aggressive and features an upswept exhaust setup. The two-step seat and split pillion grab rail, along with the slightly raised rear section, give it a slightly sporty stance.
The scooter is built on a steel tubular frame and boasts a kerb weight of 133 kg. It offers a wheelbase of 1,324 mm and a seat height of 780 mm, which is decent for an ADV scooter and will help offer better agility and handling capabilities to the rider. Additionally, in terms of storage, it offers 29-litre underseat storage and a 2-litre glovebox.
The hardware further consists of 31 mm telescopic forks and rear dual-spring shocks by Showa, with 103 mm of travel. It rides on 110/80-14 front and 130/70-13 rear tyres. Braking duties are handled by a 240 mm front disc brake with a Nissin 2-piston caliper and a rear disc brake; it is further aided by single-channel ABS.
The newly unveiled ADV gets a 5-inch TFT display, Honda RoadSync connected technology for navigation and connectivity, a Type-C charging port, all-LED lighting, and Honda Smart Key keyless operation.

The ADV 125 is powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine producing 12.5 PS of power and 11.7 Nm of peak torque. This engine offers a top speed of 97 km/h and claimed efficiency of nearly 48 kmpl. It also offers Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC), a dry automated centrifugal clutch, and a CVT transmission.
The Honda ADV 125 seems like a viable option for the Indian market. The demand for sporty and ADV scooters in India is increasing, and there are only a few options available to customers. If the Honda ADV 125 is launched in India, we can expect it to be priced in the range of Rs 1.25 lakh to Rs 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The hardware and styling it offers will be at par with rivals like the Hero Xoom 125. However, this will become the only scooter to offer proper maxi-scooter styling and big-scooter appeal while keeping the small engine.
