Hero MotoCorp has unveiled the global debut of a bold scrambler-styled motorcycle, the Hero Hunk 440SX, based on the brand's 440cc platform at EICMA 2025. The new model represents Hero's increasing ambition in the mid capacity segment, marrying a muscular stance with modern features and all terrain capability. Designed to take on both city roads and offbeat trails, the Hunk 440SX reflects a significant step toward Hero's premium motorcycle expansion strategy.

The Hero Hunk 440SX stands out because of its scrambler design, with knobby tyres, raised exhausts, and a taller riding setup. As compared to the standard Hunk 440, it gets a tougher look, increased travel suspension, and spoke wheels. The motorcycle has been designed with a digital TFT display featuring smartphone connectivity and navigation support. Hero has built this motorcycle to target a clientele that loves adventure inspired styling but doesn't want to compromise with everyday practicality.
The Hero Hunk 440SX draws power from the same 440cc, air & oil cooled engine as the Hunk 440 and Mavrick 440. This unit develops about 27bhp and 36Nm of torque paired with a 6 speed gearbox. Hero has fitted traction control, ride-by-wire throttle, and multiple riding modes for more safety and control. The setup maintains a good balance between performance and efficiency for highway cruising and mild off roading.
When launched, the Hero Hunk 440SX will square off against the likes of the Royal Enfield Guerilla 450, Triumph Scrambler 400X, and Husqvarna Svartpilen 401. With its muscular design and a host of advanced features, it seems like Hero is trying to offer an affordable scrambler option in the mid range segment. The model is expected to arrive in the Indian market shortly after its international debut and will further strengthen Hero's position in the premium motorcycle space.
