BMW Motorrad India has finally teased the launch of the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure. This big adventure bike is renowned for its ruggedness and will be knocking on the country's doors pretty soon. Teasing further along, it mentions that it might unveil it during the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. Apart from that, expect the R 1300 GS Adventure to cost a bit under Rs. 30 lakh (ex-showroom). It will be more than the R 1250 GS Adventure, priced at Rs. 22.50 lakh.
BMW R 1300 GS Adventure is offered with a 1,300cc twin-cylinder boxer engine, touted to provide a punchy 145 bhp and 149 Nm of torque. These make the ride as suitable for conquering highways as it is for rugged trails. Additionally, BMW has offered four riding modes: Eco, Rain, Road, and Enduro, so riders can find a way to select the performance of the bike appropriately for different conditions.
For the first time, BMW introduces the Automated Shift Assistant in this bike. This semi-automatic gearbox makes gear shifting effortless, reducing the need for constant manual clutch use. Imagine how much easier and less tiring long rides will become with this feature!
The R 1300 GS Adventure features a bold and functional design. The 30-litre fuel tank, while it does not make the motorcycle look imposing, gives the advantage of fewer stops at the petrol station during long distances. It comes with anti-slip elements for tank design.
Modern touches supplement the rugged, boxy look of the bike. It will come with matrix LED headlights and optional auxiliary lights, as well as a 6.5-inch TFT display. The rider will feel at ease and assured with heated grips, keyless ignition, and cornering ABS. More importantly, hill-hold assist, dynamic cruise control, and collision warning are also among its advanced electronics.
