After tasing for months, Ather Energy finally introduced the Rizta electric scooter on its Ather Community Day. This scooter is specially designed for families and has various features to make riding comfortable, safe, and convenient. It's available in two variant options: Rizta S (2.9 kWh) and Rizta Z (3.9 kWh). Moreover, the Ather Rizta price for the base S model starts at Rs 1.10 lakh, while the higher-end model goes up to Rs. 1.25 to 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Ather Rizta Z provides an IDC range of 160 km on a single charge, making it suitable for longer rides. Meanwhile, the Rizta S offers a range of 123 km/charge. The company has worked hard to make Rizta stand out in the family scooter segment by focusing on quality, reliability, and safety.

The Bookings for Ather Rizta scooter are now open, and deliveries will start in June 2024. The Ather Rizta aims to redefine the electric scooter experience for families across India.

Thoughts Of Co-Founder & CEO

Rizta electric scooter

The Co-Founder & CEO of Ather Energy, Tarun Mehta, said, “We entered the two-wheeler market with our performance scooter, the 450 series, which was recognised in the industry. Now, we are setting foot in the family segment with the Rizta, which has been designed and engineered with the Indian family in mind. It focuses on key aspects such as comfort, safety and connected tech, which we believe makes it an upgrade from the conventional scooters in the market. Rizta will reflect Ather’s proposition of quality, reliability, and safety.”

Ather Rizta Design & Aesthetics

The Ather Rizta front end features horizontally positioned headlamps, daytime running lights, and turn signals. It also has side and rear panels that enhance both visual appeal and practicality. Moreover, the Ather Rizta storage space under the seat is 34 litres and measures 900 mm in length. This allows you to carry groceries and work bags. Also, additional front storage of 22 litres is available for smaller items like wallets and cleaning clothes.

This electric scooter offers the most generous seating area among scooters in India.

Ather also offers an attachable frunk for those requiring extra storage, further enhancing the scooter's versatility. Furthermore, the Ather Rizta is available in a variety of colors. The S variant comes in three monotone colours, and the Ather Rizta Z has seven colour options.

Ather Energy offers consumers the flexibility to choose between two battery sizes. The Rizta S variant features a 2.9kWh battery, while the Rizta Z comes with a larger 3.7kWh battery. Both battery variations are backed by a reassuring 5-year warranty, offering peace of mind to consumers.

The Rizta is equipped with a mid-drive motor similar to the 450 series, the Rizta delivers 5.76 bhp (4.3 kW) and 22 Nm of peak torque. This Ather scooter accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in just 4.7 seconds. It is built on a better version of the chassis used in the 450 series. It has a longer, wider, and lower subframe, along with a monoshock at the back and telescopic forks at the front. With 12-inch wheels and MRF tyres, it's more stable and has better grip on the road. This makes the Ather Rizta family scooter a great option for riding in cities.

Ather Rizta Features

This electric scooter offers different features depending on the variant you choose. The Rizta S model has a 7.0-inch non-touch digital display on the dashboard. On the other hand, the Rizta Z variants come with a 7.0-inch TFT touchscreen display. Both models have two riding modes: Zip for quick rides and SmartEco for more efficient riding. This electric scooter also features advanced connected technology, including
SkidControl and WhatsApp integration on the dashboard.

Ather Rizta features traction control, skid control, Emergency Stop Signal (ESS), theft & tow detection, and more. It also has ride assist features like Magic Twist, Auto Hold, and Reverse Mode. All variants of Ather Rizta have a top speed of 80 km/h, ensuring enjoyable rides.

The company has also introduced the Ather HALO smart helmet, which has premium audio by Harman Kardon and features like auto WearDetect for easy pairing with the scooter. The Ather HALO helmet costs INR 12,999, while the HALO Bit accessory is available for INR 4,999. These features make the Ather Rizta a well-equipped and convenient choice for electric scooter enthusiasts.
