Aprilia SXR 175 Launch Expected in September 2026

Aprilia could launch the new SXR 175 in India in September 2026. The upcoming maxi scooter will join the growing 150cc plus scooter segment. It will compete with models such as the Yamaha Aerox 155, Hero Xoom 160, and upcoming Honda ADV 160.

Aprilia SXR 175 Design and Features

The SXR 175 will follow the maxi scooter design seen on the SXR 160 and SXR 125. In addition, it could get a tall windscreen, large front fairing, LED lighting, and a stepped seat.

Unlike its rivals, the scooter could offer a flat floorboard. This step through design may make it easier to use for daily rides. However, Aprilia could continue with 12 inch alloy wheels, while its main rivals use larger 14 inch wheels.

Engine and Expected Features

The upcoming SXR 175 is expected to use the same 174.7cc air cooled engine as the SR 175. It produces 13.26 PS and 14.14 Nm and comes with a CVT gearbox.

Moreover, the scooter could get a TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity and turn by turn navigation. It may also offer around 20 to 25 litres of underseat storage.

Perhaps the SXR 175's combination of maxi scooter styling and a flat floorboard could make it an appealing choice among Aprilia Scooters for urban riders. However, Aprilia has not confirmed the launch date or final specifications yet. 

The SXR 175 could give buyers another option in India's growing premium scooter segment. More details should emerge closer to its expected September 2026 launch.
