2026 Bajaj Avenger Street 220 Launched in India at Rs. 1.30 Lakh

Bajaj Auto has launched the 2026 Avenger Street 220 in the Indian market. The cruiser motorcycle carries an ex-showroom price of Rs. 1.30 lakh. Moreover, the model has already appeared on the company's official website. The launch also marks a major change in the Avenger range. Therefore, buyers can now choose between the Avenger Cruise 220 and the newly launched Street 220.

Avenger Street 220 Replaces Street 160

The launch of the Street 220 comes after Bajaj discontinued the Avenger Street 160. As a result, the Avenger lineup now consists of only two motorcycles. Interestingly, the Street 220 costs slightly more than the Cruise 220. The Avenger Cruise 220 is currently available at Rs. 1.29 lakh ex-showroom. Hence, Bajaj has positioned both models very closely in terms of pricing.

Engine and Performance Remain Unchanged

The new Avenger Street 220 continues with the same 220cc air and oil-cooled engine. The single-cylinder motor produces 19 bhp at 8,500 rpm. In addition, it develops 17.6 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm. Bajaj has paired the engine with a five-speed gearbox. Therefore, performance figures remain identical to the Avenger Cruise 220.

Street-Focused Design and Riding Position

The Avenger Street 220 receives a few changes to create a different riding experience. Bajaj has fitted a lower handlebar for a more upright riding posture. However, the motorcycle does not feature the pillion backrest offered on the Cruise 220. It also replaces the tall windshield with a compact visor. Moreover, the motorcycle gets an all-black appearance for a sportier road presence.

Colours and Availability

Bajaj is offering the Avenger Street 220 in two colour choices. Buyers can select between Ebony Black and Cocktail Wine Red. With this launch, Bajaj has expanded choices for cruiser buyers seeking a more street-oriented Avenger motorcycle.
