2025 Yamaha R3 Design Patent in India Might Launch Soon!

After receiving a patent for the 2025 YZF-R3 in India, Yamaha Motor India is preparing to make a significant impact in the 300cc market. It appears like Yamaha is now prepared to return to the racing segment after a few years of catching up to the KTM RC390 and the new Aprilia RS 457. So, what's new about the 2025 R3? Design and Looks

Design inspiration for the 2025 Yamaha R3 comes from the company's most recent R series, which was initially used on the R9. Its muscular, sharper front end and sleek, katana-inspired LED projector headlamps are among its most notable characteristics. All of the lights, including the indicators, have been converted to LED.
 

The new R3 is more efficient in terms of aerodynamics due to its thinner and more streamlined fairing. Increased usage of blacked-out components, such as the front mudguard, is one obvious difference. Additionally, the fairing's dual black-blue paint job from the previous model has been replaced with a solid blue colour.
 

Engine Performance

The new Yamaha R3 is powered by a 321cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder engine that generates 41 bhp and 29.5 Nm of torque. Moreover, a 6-speed gearbox that now has a slip and assist clutch is mated to this engine. Overall, the R3 has a great engine, and its excellent handling makes it a top choice among sportbikes under 500cc.
 

Specifications

According to the specs of the worldwide R3 model, it weighs 169 kg and has a seat height of 780 mm. Additionally, it has a wheelbase of 1379 mm and a ground clearance of 160 mm. Dual-channel ABS is standard, and a 298mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc manage braking. 
 

The new model has improvements in terms of hardware, such as upside-down front forks with a golden finish. The exhaust is now more compact, but the blue alloy wheels still have their distinctive appearance. The renowned Team Yamaha Blue, Lunar White with Nebula Blue highlights, and Matte Stealth Black are the three new colour options available for the 2025 Yamaha R3.
 

Features

Upgrades to the 2025 Yamaha R3 are long overdue. A slip-and-assist clutch is eventually added in the new model, which is a first for the R3, while the present model lacks this. Additionally, a blue-backed LCD digital instrument cluster has been added to it. Although it still does not have built-in navigation but provides linked technology through Bluetooth and the Y-Support app. Nonetheless, it still uses a USB-A port rather than a USB-C one.
