Ducati Streetfighter V2 is a middleweight naked sports bike based on the Panigale V2. It delivers superbike-level performance with street-friendly comfort. It rivals KTM 890 Duke R, Triumph Street Triple 765 and Kawasaki Z900.
The upright riding position offers more comfort than a fully-faired sportbike, while the wide handlebars improve control in traffic and corners. It works equally well in the city, on highways, and on twisty roads. Inspired by the Streetfighter V4, the bike features sharp body panels, exposed mechanical parts, and a minimalist tail.
The Streetfighter V2 is sold in India in 2 variants. The standard Streetfighter V2 standard is priced at Rs 17.50 Lakh. Meanwhile, the more premium Streetfighter V2 S costs Rs 19.49 Lakh.
The higher price of the V2 S is due to added premium components and features. Both variants sit firmly in the premium naked bike category. Apart from this, the bike is offered in two colour options, including Ducati Red and Ducati Yellow.
The Streetfighter V2 is equipped with a 890cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine using Ducati’s Superquadro design. The new motor makes 118 bhp and 93.3 Nm torque @ 8,250 rpm. The engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a hydraulically controlled slipper clutch, which makes gear shifts smooth and controlled. Moreover, the Ducati Streetfighter V2 top speed is around 270 kmph.
The updated engine is 9 kg lighter and tuned for better real-world riding. Ducati has also increased the valve clearance check interval to 45,000 km, reducing long-term maintenance effort.
The claimed mileage of Streetfighter V2 is around 17 kmpl. However, the actual mileage depends on how you ride and the road conditions. Moreover, the updated model comes with a 15-litre fuel tank. This is enough for comfortable medium-distance touring up to 289 km without frequent fuel stops.
This Ducati bike is loaded with advanced electronics for safety and performance. It features a 5-inch full-colour TFT display that shows all essential riding information. The bike offers four riding modes: Race, Sport, Road, and Wet, which adjust power delivery and electronic aids to suit different conditions.
It also features cornering ABS, cornering traction control, wheelie control, engine brake control, and cruise control. The V2 S variant adds extra features like Ducati Power Launch, a pit limiter, and a lighter lithium-ion battery.
The Streetfighter V2 is built around a lightweight aluminium monocoque frame. The standard V2 variant gets a fully adjustable Marzocchi front fork and a fully adjustable Kayaba rear monoshock. The V2 S variant upgrades to premium fully adjustable Ohlins suspension at both ends.
This bike gets twin 320 mm front discs with Brembo calipers and a single 245 mm rear disc, also with a Brembo caliper. The seat height is set at 838 mm, and ground clearance measures 131 mm. Furthermore, the Ducati Streetfighter V2 weight is around 200 kg.
“The Ducati Streetfighter V2 feels aggressive, yet surprisingly approachable for everyday riding. Unlike extreme superbikes, this one is more practical on real roads. At the same time, it keeps the thrill alive with strong acceleration. Yes, it is expensive, and not the lightest option. Still, the overall experience feels special, emotional, and very Ducati.”
Ducati Streetfighter V2 is middleweight naked bike that brings performance, sharp styling, and modern tech in a very usable way. Now, yes, it clearly takes inspiration from the bigger Streetfighter V4, and you can see that aggressive DNA instantly. But unlike the V4, this one feels far more manageable in everyday riding.

The V-twin engine is tuned for real-world use, so it feels strong without being overwhelming. You also get two variants, including the more premium V2 S. Of course, pricing is on the higher side, but then again, it offers a solid mix of thrill and comfort. Let’s know more about this naked bike in detail:

The Streetfighter V2 comes across as a very well-balanced performance machine. Yes, it is priced on the higher side, and you will notice the weight in slow traffic. But once you get moving, the bike completely changes character. It feels engaging, exciting, and genuinely fun to ride. So, if you want a Ducati that blends thrill with practicality, this one makes a lot of sense.
