Ducati has launched the 2025 Streetfighter V2 and the higher-spec V2 S in India, priced at Rs. 17,50,200 and Rs. 19,48,900 (ex-showroom) respectively. The new model arrives as a middleweight sport-naked motorcycle, taking inspiration from the Panigale V2 but reworked for more comfort and everyday usability.
At first glance, the bike carries Ducati’s familiar Streetfighter look with a sharp, mass-forward stance and full LED lighting. In addition, Ducati offers both versions in its iconic Ducati Red, which highlights the muscular tank, slim tail section and clean bodywork.
The motorcycle has an 890cc, 90-degree V-twin engine that meets Euro 5+ norms. It makes 119 bhp at 10,750 rpm and 93.3 Nm at 8,250 rpm, offering strong mid-range performance. More than 70 percent of the torque arrives as early as 3,000 rpm, which means the bike feels responsive even during relaxed city rides.
However, riders who want extra punch can choose Ducati’s racing exhaust, which increases power to around 125 bhp while also reducing weight. The engine works with a six-speed gearbox that includes Ducati Quick Shift 2.0 for clutchless upshifts and downshifts, along with a slipper clutch that keeps the bike stable during hard braking.
Ducati uses a compact monocoque frame where the engine acts as a stressed member, helping keep the bike light and agile. The standard Streetfighter V2 uses adjustable Marzocchi front forks and a Kayaba rear shock, while the V2 S upgrades to premium Ohlins suspension at both ends.
Perhaps the biggest difference is weight. The Streetfighter V2 S uses a lithium-ion battery, bringing its wet weight without fuel down to 175 kg, compared to 178 kg for the standard model. Both versions run on cast six-spoke alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres and come with a Sachs steering damper for added stability.
The Streetfighter V2 uses a 6-axis IMU that powers a wide list of rider aids. These include cornering ABS with a slide-by-brake feature, traction control, wheelie control and engine brake control. Riders can choose among Race, Sport, Road and Wet modes depending on conditions.
There’s also a 5-inch TFT display offers three layouts: Road, Road Pro and Track to suit different riding styles. In addition, Ducati offers optional features like cruise control, navigation, a lap timer, USB charging and tyre pressure monitoring. The V2 S also gets Ducati Power Launch and a pit limiter for riders who enjoy track days.
