Zontes 350X and Keeway K-Light 250V Get Major Price Cuts in India

Adishwar Auto Ride India (AARI), the distributor of brands like Zontes and Keeway in India, has comes up with a major price drop for these two motorcycles. The Zontes 350X and the Keeway K-Light 250V have received permanent price cuts, making them more affordable. This move comes ahead of increasing competition and low sales figures. With these cuts, the company aims to attract more buyers and improve it's market presence in India.

Zontes 350X Gets Second Price Drop

Zontes 350X has received a fresh price cut of Rs. 59,000, bringing the new price to Rs. 2.40 lakh (ex-showroom). At launch in the year 2022, the Zontes 350X bike was priced at Rs. 3.45 lakh, which limited its appeal among buyers. It saw a massive Rs. 46,000 price reduction in January 2024, followed by this new Rs. 59,000 drop. 

This totals a price drop of Rs. 1.05 lakh since its initial launch, making it much more affordable now. The model is powered by a 348cc liquid-cooled engine that makes 38.2 bhp and 32.8 Nm of torque. It is a sports tourer with sharp styling and decent performance, sold through Motovault dealerships across India.

Keeway K-Light 250V Sees First Price Correction

Keeway K-Light 250V has received a price cut of Rs. 71,000, its first-ever since launch. The new price stands at Rs. 2.49 lakh (ex-showroom), down from its earlier higher price. It comes with a 249cc, V-twin engine delivering 18.7 bhp and 19 Nm of torque. 

The K-Light 250V uses a five-speed gearbox and has a bold cruiser design. Earlier, the pricing was too high when compared with rivals like the Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220.

Reasons for Price Drop?

Thus, AARI has not given a formal reason for the price fall, less sales seem to be the primary reason for the result. In addition, insufficient brand awareness and a small service network have rendered it challenging for Zontes and Keeway to compete against popular motorbikes in India.

Therefore, new prices make both the motorbikes more attractive, but success also will depend upon the efforts of the brand in enhancing visibility and after-sales service.
