Yamaha R2 Pre-Bookings Open in India; Launch Scheduled for August 27

Yamaha has officially started accepting pre-bookings for the upcoming Yamaha R2 in India. Interested buyers can now reserve the motorcycle through the company's official website by paying Rs. 10,000. This booking amount will later be adjusted against the final on-road price of the bike at the time of purchase.

The company plans to launch the new Yamaha R2 on August 27, 2026. In addition, customers who book the motorcycle in advance will receive priority delivery, depending on stock availability. Perhaps this move will attract enthusiasts who have been waiting for Yamaha’s new sportbike.

Booking Amount and Refund Details

Yamaha has also shared details regarding booking cancellations. Buyers who decide not to purchase the motorcycle can request a refund from September 5, 2026 onwards.

However, the refund process will take place through the dealership where the booking was made. Therefore, customers will need to visit their selected dealership to complete the cancellation process.

What to Expect from the Yamaha R2?

The Yamaha R2 has been under development for quite some time. The upcoming motorcycle is expected to sit between the popular Yamaha R15 and Yamaha R3 in the brand’s lineup.
