Yamaha has introduced the new 2025 FZ-X Hybrid in India, priced at Rs. 1,49,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi). This new model bike gets a few key upgrades such as hybrid engine technology and a 4.2-inch colour TFT screen. Bookings for the motorcycle are now open across the country. Yamaha had previously showcased the model to dealers, and the launch is likely timed to tap into the upcoming festive season.
The biggest update in this FZ-X model is the Yamaha’s Smart Motor Generator (SMG) hybrid system. This setup works with the engine to assist during acceleration and improve fuel efficiency. The system also charges the battery while riding and includes a start-stop function.
This allows the engine to turn off at idle and restart quickly with the clutch, reducing noise and saving fuel. The hybrid technology brings better energy use, which could be useful for both city and highway riders.

Yamaha has replaced the older console with a new 4.2-inch full-colour TFT display. The screen supports Bluetooth connectivity through the Y-Connect application. This feature shows call and message alerts, phone battery status, and turn-by-turn navigation powered by Google Maps. Additionally, riders will have access on real-time directions, road names, and intersection details are clearly shown on the screen, helping riders navigate easily.
The FZ-X Hybrid keeps the same neo-retro design as the regular version. It features a round LED headlamp, raised handlebars, and a one-piece stepped seat. Suspension duties are managed by a telescopic front fork and a 7-step adjustable monoshock at the rear. Braking is handled by disc brakes at both ends, with single-channel ABS and traction control offered as standard.
Powering the FZ-X Hybrid is a 149cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that generates 12.2 bhp and 13.3 Nm of torque. It comes equipped with a 5-speed gearbox for smooth acceleration. The hybrid version is offered in a new Matte Titan finish, which gives the best design and look. Meanwhile, the standard variant remains available in Dark Matte Blue and Metallic Black and is priced at Rs. 1,29,990 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
With these upgrades, Yamaha aims to make the FZ-X more appealing to tech-focused buyers and improve overall performance without changing the base character of the bike.
