VIDA installed 300 charging stations at 50 locations in 3 cities

The two-wheeler manufacturer said the company's mobile brand VIDA has launched its public charging infrastructure in Bangalore, Delhi and Jaipur.

Vida, the electric vehicle brand from Hero MotoCorp, has begun work on building its public charging infrastructure in Bangalore, Delhi and Jaipur. The company has installed about 300 charging points at 50 spots in three cities for public use.

The company says that the charging network is distributed at key points for the convenience of customers. Vida's fast charging network is said to allow users to charge their e-scooter battery at a speed of 1.2 km/min. Each charging station will have DC and AC outlets.

Dr. Swadesh Srivastava, Head of Hero MotoCorp's New Mobility Business Unit (EMBU), said: “We have installed Vida's world-class electric vehicle charging infrastructure in advance of Vida V1 deliveries in all three cities. In line with our brand promise of creating a "no-hassle EV ecosystem", we are ensuring a smooth and hassle-free transition for customers to EVs. VIDA World is designed with sustainable development principles and a technology-driven philosophy in mind.We are confident that our customers' experience of the VIDA ecosystem, including products, services and charging infrastructure, will be world class. Now we are planning to expand our ecosystem to other cities.”

The charging network is distributed to key points, which provides convenience for customers. The VIDA fast charging network allows users to charge their scooter's battery at a speed of 1.2 km/min. Each charging station will have DC and AC outlets.

Customers can use the My VIDA mobile app for pass-through charging. They will be able to find the nearest charging station, view its availability, reserve a charging slot, and navigate to the station from the app. The entire payment process will also be managed through the app.

In addition, Vida offers several financing options, including easy EMI, low interest rates and a buyback option at 70 percent of the purchase price within 16-18 months of ownership, as well as on-site repairs. Potential customers can also take a test ride for up to three days before booking a scooter.
