TVS Jupiter CNG Displayed at 2025 Bharat Mobility Expo

World’s First CNG Scooter: TVS Jupiter

Even though it's just being shown as a concept right now, the TVS Jupiter CNG reflects the company's green future ambition. Jupiter is a popular model, and by incorporating compressed natural gas (CNG) technology, the company takes a big step in the industry.
 

Design and Body

First up is the placement of the CNG tank. The 1.4-kilogramme unit is situated where the under-seat boot of a standard Jupiter 125 would be. The tank is well positioned, and the brand has placed a plastic covering over it. Moreover, it is surrounded by a filling nozzle and an eyelet that displays the pressure gauge. Furthermore, according to TVS, the Jupiter CNG can go 84 kilometres on 1 kilogram of CNG.
 

Engine and Performance

The 124.8cc single-cylinder engine that powers the Jupiter CNG produces 9.4Nm at 5,500 rpm and 7.1bhp at 6,000 rpm. According to the company, the scooter's maximum speed is 80 kmph. Furthermore, the scooter features a 2-litre fuel tank that is floorboard mounted, with a refill nozzle situated in the front apron region. Similar to the one seen in the Jupiter 125 ICE scooter. According to TVS, the combined range (CNG+Petrol) is 226 km.
 

Other than that, the scooter is identical to the Jupiter 125, which runs on petrol. Whether it is wheels, brakes, features, ergonomics, or design, all are quite similar to the traditional Jupiter scooter. There is currently no information on when the Jupiter 125 CNG will be introduced in India. However, according to TVS, it is only for the conceptual stage.
