TVS iQube New Variant with 4.7kWh Battery Launched in India

TVS Motor Company has launched a new variant of the TVS iQube S electric scooter with a larger 4.7kWh battery pack. The updated model is priced at Rs. 1,37,142 (effective ex-showroom, Delhi), including subsidies. With this launch, the company aims to offer better range & convenience for daily commuters.

Features and Hardware Stay the Same

The design and features of the scooter remain unchanged. It continues to get a large TFT display with ride information and smartphone connectivity features. Other features include navigation support, smartphone alerts, USB charging, and a spacious 32 litre under seat storage compartment.

The TVS iQube S rides on 12 inch wheels with telescopic front forks & twin rear shock absorbers. The braking duties are handled by a front disc & rear drum brake setup.

iQube S IDC Range Increased to 175km

The major highlight of the new iQube S is its upgraded battery pack, which now delivers a claimed IDC range of 175km on a single charge. This is a significant improvement over the previous 3.5kWh variant that offered a claimed range of 145km.

Apart from the battery upgrade, the scooter is now available in two new dual tone colour options Purple Beige and Blue Beige, adding a fresh look to the electric scooter.

Weight Increased Due to Bigger Battery

The larger battery pack has also increased the scooter’s overall weight. The new iQube S weighs 128.8kg, making it nearly 10kg heavier than the earlier 3.5kWh version.

However, the scooter continues to use the same 4.4kW electric motor. It offers a top speed of 82kmph & can accelerate from 0 to 40kmph in just 4.3 seconds, making it suitable for city commuting.
