TVS Motor Company first revealed the Tangent RR concept at the global motorcycle show EICMA in November 2025. Now, the same design has appeared in patent filings, which suggests the company wants to protect the styling and engineering ideas. However, patents do not always mean a launch is confirmed. Still, they often show what a future production model could look like, and in this case it points toward a possible Apache RR 450 sportbike.
Perhaps the biggest takeaway is that the patent images closely match the concept shown earlier. This means TVS may not change much in the design if the bike reaches showrooms. In addition, the filing helps enthusiasts understand how serious the brand is about entering the mid-capacity sportbike segment.

The Tangent RR concept carries a proper race-inspired look. It features a full fairing that flows smoothly from the front to the tail, giving it a fast and aggressive stance. The twin headlamp setup looks sharp, while the short windscreen keeps the front compact. It also has low clip-on handlebars suggest that riders will lean forward in a committed sport riding position.
Moving to the middle, the fuel tank appears muscular and sculpted to support the rider during hard braking and cornering. At the back, the raised tail section looks slim and sporty, which gives the bike a track-ready feel. Altogether, the design hints that the future Apache RR 450 could focus strongly on performance and aerodynamics rather than comfort alone.
The bike is expected to use the new 420cc twin-cylinder engine developed with BMW and first seen on the upcoming BMW F 450 GS. However, the tuning for the RR model will likely be different. Since this is a sportbike, TVS may adjust the engine to deliver quicker acceleration and stronger top-end performance.
In addition, the patent images reveal several interesting hardware details. The bike appears to run on 17-inch wheels, which are typical for sport motorcycles. It features an upside-down front fork and a rear monoshock, both designed to improve stability at higher speeds. Moreover, the bike shows dual front discs and a single rear disc, which should offer strong stopping power.
