EICMA 2026: Suzuki GSX-10R Unveiled With 150bhp Engine, Cruise Control and More

Suzuki has unveiled the all new GSX 10R supersport motorcycle at EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy, on November 3. The new litre class sportbike joins the GSX lineup with a 999cc inline four engine producing 150bhp and 103Nm.

It combines track focused performance with features aimed at everyday riding and highway touring. Suzuki will begin sales in selected international markets from summer 2027. However, the company has not confirmed its India launch or pricing yet.

Suzuki GSX 10R: Engine and Performance

The Suzuki GSX 10R draws its engine from the K5 generation GSX R1000. The liquid cooled, four cylinder engine produces 150bhp and 103Nm of torque. Suzuki has improved its manufacturing process, machining tolerances and mechanical finishing standards.

These changes aim to improve engine reliability, durability and performance. The motorcycle also gets a lightweight aluminium chassis for better handling.

Suzuki GSX 10R: Features and Electronics

The new sportbike introduces several electronic rider aids under the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.). It becomes the brand's first motorcycle with a Slide Control System. This system detects and controls rear wheel slides while cornering.

The Suzuki bike also gets Brake Hold Control, which helps keep it stationary on slopes and flat surfaces. Other features include cruise control, traction control and a bi directional quickshifter.

Suzuki has equipped it with a colour TFT instrument display and a Type C USB charging port. It also gets LED lighting and the Suzuki Ground Beacon System. This system improves visibility when the indicators are activated.

For touring, the 18 litre fuel tank offers fewer interruptions for refuelling. Heated grips further improve comfort during colder rides.

Design, Dimensions and Colour Options

The Suzuki GSX 10R gets aggressive full fairing bodywork with integrated aerodynamic winglets. Its forward leaning riding position and separate handlebars retain its supersport character.

The European spec motorcycle weighs 214kg and gets an 810mm seat height. It offers 145mm ground clearance and a 1,455mm wheelbase. Suzuki will offer three colour combinations, including blue, red and grey options.

India Launch, Expected Price and Rivals

Suzuki has not announced the GSX 10R's India launch timeline or expected price. Its international sales will begin sequentially from summer 2027.

If introduced in India, it could compete with established litre class superbikes, including the Kawasaki Ninja ZX 10R, BMW S 1000 RR and Ducati Panigale V4.

For now, buyers will have to wait for its India specific specifications and pricing. Its combination of performance, touring equipment and electronic rider aids makes it an interesting addition to Suzuki's global sportbike lineup.
