Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650 Hits Global Market

The made-in-India 2024 Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 have both been introduced by Royal Enfield in France. The 2024 models have witnessed updates to their features & appearance of both the motorcycles.  

To start, there are 4 colour options for the Interceptor 650, including 2 new ones. These include the Barcelona Blue & Black Ray, which has all of its parts and components blackened out. However, in addition to the standard paint selections, the Continental GT 650 is also offered in two blacked-out colours - Slipstream Blue & Apex Grey. The blacked-out versions of the GT 650 include blacked-out components, just like the INT 650.  

Apart from this, Royal Enfield used the chance to add alloy wheels that are fitted with tubeless tyres. They are exclusively available on the new blacked-out models. On both 2024 versions, Royal Enfield has also included new switchgear, improved seating comfort, a USB charging port & brand-new LED lighting. 

The mechanical specifications for the 2024 Interceptor 650 & Continental GT 650 have not been altered. Both have a 648cc parallel-twin motor tuned to a six-speed transmission, producing 47bhp & 52Nm peak power output.  

The Interceptor 650 is now available in France for as little as $7,890 USD (Rs 6.5 Lakhs). In France, the Continental GT 650 costs about $8,200 USD (about Rs 6.8 Lakhs). Due to export charges, this is about twice as expensive as motorcycles in India.
