The new Himalayan 450 Mana Black Edition made its debut at Motoverse 2025 in Goa, following a global unveiling at EICMA 2025 in Milan. This special‑edition variant is built on the same proven mechanical underpinnings as the standard Himalayan 450. However, it comes factory‑loaded with adventure‑ready accessories and an aggressive new look.
What Remains the Same
Engine, Chassis & Suspension: Both bikes use the same 452 cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, producing approximately 40 hp and 40 Nm of torque. It is mated to a six-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch.
Wheel Size and Suspension Travel: The 21‑inch front and 17‑inch rear wheel sizes remain unchanged. The front 43 mm upside-down fork and rear monoshock continue to offer 200 mm of travel.
Electronics and Features: The technology stack remains identical: ride-by-wire throttle, switchable ABS, and the same 4-inch circular TFT display with connectivity via the brand’s Tripper app for navigation.
In other words, performance and ride behaviour stay consistent whether you pick the standard Himalayan 450 or the Mana Black Edition.
What’s Different: Style, Accessories & Ergonomics
The Mana Black Edition is primarily about factory-fitted upgrades, adventure readiness, and a stealthy new style.
Adventure‑oriented Accessories Included from the Showroom: It comes with black rally hand guards, a rally-style seat (single-piece bench seat), a high-mounted front mudguard, and tubeless spoked wheels, all standard.
Seat and Ergonomics: The rally seat is taller (about 35 mm higher than the standard variant), helping when standing on the pegs during off-road riding or during long-distance travel.
Styling: The bike gets a “Stealth Black” paint job, with matte black and grey detailing across the body, engine, frame and wheels. The all-black look gives it a rugged, ready-for-trail appearance, inspired by Mana Pass, which is one of the highest motorable roads in India.
Weight: Due to revised tail panels and new bodywork, the Mana Black Edition sheds around 1 kg, with a kerb weight of about 195 kg.
Essentially, the Mana Black Edition gives you a trail-ready Himalayan 450 straight out of the showroom, without needing aftermarket upgrades.
Price and Value: Is It Worth the Extra Cost?
The Mana Black Edition is priced at Rs 3.37 lakh (ex-showroom). That puts it about Rs 17,000 more expensive than the top-spec standard Himalayan 450 sold around Rs 3.20 lakh. If you do not care about rally-style ergonomics or accessories, the standard Himalayan 450 is sufficient. It offers the same performance at a lower price.
