Royal Enfield is all set to add a new motorcycle to its adventure lineup. The Himalayan 440 will make its India debut on September 4, 2026. Ahead of the launch, the motorcycle has already reached dealership stockyards, building excitement among adventure bike fans.
The new motorcycle brings back the Himalayan name with a familiar yet updated package. However, this time, Royal Enfield appears to focus on a simpler adventure riding experience. In addition, it will sit below the more advanced Himalayan 450 in the lineup.

The upcoming RE motorcycle is expected to use the same 443cc engine found in the Scram 440. This engine produces 25.4 bhp and 34 Nm of torque. This can give the Himalayan 440 enough power for city rides, highway trips, and light off road use.
Perhaps the biggest change will come from its adventure focused setup. The motorcycle spotted at a dealership gets a 21 inch front wire spoke wheel. It also appears to use a 17 inch rear wheel. This setup should suit riders who want to explore rougher roads.
The Himalayan 440 will also get a new twin pod instrument cluster. Interestingly, the familiar four pod layout from the Himalayan 411 is no longer present. More importantly, the motorcycle gets a Tripper navigation pod. It will offer turn by turn navigation through smartphone connectivity. The system can also support call and message alerts.
However, Royal Enfield has not revealed every detail yet. The company is expected to announce the complete feature list, variants, specifications, and price on the launch date.
The Himalayan 440 could appeal to riders who want an adventure motorcycle without moving up to the Himalayan 450. Moreover, its familiar engine and simpler equipment could help keep the motorcycle more accessible.
The upcoming launch also comes at an interesting time for Royal Enfield. The company already has several motorcycles across different segments. Now, the Himalayan 440 could add another choice to the Royal Enfield Upcoming Bikes lineup for riders looking for a mid size adventure motorcycle.
The wait is almost over, as Royal Enfield will officially reveal the Himalayan 440 on September 4. The expected price is around Rs. 2.45 lakh, although the final figure will be confirmed at launch.
With dealership sightings already creating buzz, all eyes are now on the launch. The final price and specifications will decide how strongly the Himalayan 440 competes in the adventure motorcycle segment.
