Kawasaki has launched the 2026 Ninja ZX-6R in India at a price of Rs 11,69,000 (ex-showroom). This makes the new model Rs 16,000 costlier than the previous one. Deliveries for the bike will begin from the first week of September 2025.
The Ninja ZX-6R has always been one of the most popular supersport motorcycles for performance enthusiasts, and the 2026 update continues to build on its strong reputation.

The 2026 Ninja ZX-6R does not bring major changes but comes with some fresh updates in design. The bike is offered in Kawasaki’s famous Lime Green paint scheme, just like the 2025 version. However, it now features new white, blue, and black graphics that give it a slightly refreshed look.
In addition, the previous model had colour-coded rim stripes, but the 2026 version switches to all-black wheels, which give the bike a cleaner and more minimalist appeal.
Visually, the Ninja ZX-6R still looks very sporty with sharp body panels, a layered fairing, and compact LED headlights. The turn indicators are also LED units. Moreover, the bike gets a 4.4-inch TFT display that supports smartphone connectivity through Kawasaki’s Rideology app.
The new ZX-6R continues with the same 636cc in-line four-cylinder engine. This liquid-cooled motor produces 129PS of power (with ram air) at 13,000rpm and 69Nm of torque at 11,000rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and gets a bi-directional quickshifter for smoother and faster gear shifts.
This engine has been praised for years for its smooth performance, engaging power delivery, and high-revving nature.
The Kawasaki bike uses a race-inspired aluminium perimeter frame for strength and agility. For suspension, it is equipped with Showa upside-down front forks and a Showa Uni-Trak adjustable rear monoshock. These provide stability as well as flexibility for both daily riding and track performance.
The bike also features a twin 310mm discs with four-piston callipers at the front and a 220mm disc at the rear. The bike also comes with dual-channel ABS for safety.
Rider aids include switchable traction control, four riding modes (Sport, Road, Rain, and Custom), and a quickshifter. These features make the ZX-6R versatile, whether for city rides, highway cruising, or track days.
The Ninja ZX-6R weighs 198kg (kerb) and has a saddle height of 830mm, which may feel tall for some riders. It carries a 17-litre fuel tank, though its 130mm ground clearance means riders must be careful on rough roads. The bike runs on 17-inch alloy wheels with 120/70 front and 180/55 rear tyres, offering good grip and handling.
