Ather Rizta Z sits above the base Rizta S variant in the lineup from Ather Energy. Earlier, the company introduced the S variant as the most affordable option in the Rizta family. However, the Z variant focuses more on technology and added convenience.

The Z variant with the 2.9kWh battery offers several additional features compared to the S model. In addition, it keeps the same family-friendly design, spacious seat, and practical storage options. Let’s know more about this scooter in detail:

Motor Performance and Riding Experience

Ather Rizta Z

The Rizta uses an electric motor that produces around 4.3kW of peak power. In addition, the motor generates 22 Nm of peak torque for smooth acceleration. This output allows the scooter to reach a top speed of around 80 kmph.

Interestingly, the performance figures remain the same across Rizta variants. Therefore, riders will not notice performance differences between battery options. However, the scooter mainly focuses on comfortable city commuting rather than aggressive acceleration.

Real-World Range and Charging Time

The 2.9kWh battery pack delivers a claimed IDC range of about 123km. However, real-world riding conditions usually provide a slightly lower figure. In everyday city riding, the scooter can deliver around 105km of usable range.

Charging remains fairly convenient for daily users. The home charger can charge the battery from zero to eighty percent in about six hours and thirty minutes. In addition, a full charge takes roughly two more hours.

Larger TFT Display and Smart Features

The base S variant uses a simple colour LCD display with basic Bluetooth connectivity. However, the Z variant introduces a larger 7-inch colour TFT touchscreen. This screen supports several connected features for everyday use. For example, riders can access Google Maps navigation directly on the display. In addition, the dashboard shows WhatsApp message previews and other notifications.

The scooter also connects with the Ather mobile application through Bluetooth. Furthermore, the Z variant includes Magic Twist regenerative braking and traction control for better safety and control.

Price and Position in the Rizta Lineup

The Ather Rizta Z 2.9kWh currently costs around Rs 1.35 lakh ex-showroom. This pricing places it above the S variant but below the larger battery Z version. Therefore, the scooter offers a balanced mix of range, performance, and features.
