Honda has launched the Dio 125 X Edition in India with an ex-showroom price of Rs. 87,733. The scooter was listed on the official website earlier, therefore its launch was widely expected. However, Honda has positioned this variant as a visual update instead of a full model refresh. Hence, the Dio 125 X Edition focuses on styling and features while continuing with the existing mechanical setup. The launch strengthens the Dio 125 range, moreover it targets younger buyers seeking a sportier appearance.

The Dio 125 X Edition is offered in a single dual-tone paint scheme with a sharper visual identity. It combines Pearl Siren Blue body panels with Pearl Deep Ground Gray elements on the front apron. Moreover, sporty graphics across the panels enhance road presence and create a youthful impression.
The red painted alloy wheels add contrast, therefore making the scooter look more aggressive on city roads. Feature-wise, this variant mirrors the H-smart trim with no additional equipment on offer. It includes a TFT instrument console with smartphone connectivity for navigation and call alerts. In addition, a USB-C charging port inside the glove box improves everyday riding convenience.

Mechanically, the Dio 125 X Edition continues with the same engine used across the lineup. It uses a 123.92cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 8.19bhp and 10.5Nm of torque. However, there are no tuning changes, hence performance and riding feel remain exactly the same.
The Dio 125 X Edition adds freshness through design updates, therefore expanding visual choices for buyers. However, many expected deeper changes, especially as competition in the 125cc scooter space increases steadily.
