Hero MotoCorp has once again started testing the upcoming Hero Xpulse 421 in India. This time, the adventure motorcycle was seen in Ladakh, where the company appears to be carrying out cold-weather testing. Although the bike remains fully covered in camouflage, the latest spy images reveal several important details about its design, hardware, and expected features. In addition, the new motorcycle looks ready to take on both highways and rough off-road trails.
The latest test mule clearly shows that Hero has designed the Xpulse 421 for serious adventure riding. The Hero motorcycle gets a high-mounted LED headlight placed inside a sharp-looking fairing. Moreover, the front section carries a strong and rugged appearance that matches its off-road purpose.

The fuel tank and seat feature a shape that helps riders grip the motorcycle better while standing on the foot pegs. As a result, riders may find it easier to handle difficult trails. In addition, the side panels and rear section look slim, which could improve movement during off-road rides.
The spy shots also suggest that the upcoming motorcycle uses a steel trellis frame. Hero has paired it with long-travel upside-down front forks and a rear monoshock. Although the company has not confirmed the details, the suspension may offer adjustment options for better comfort and control.
Furthermore, the motorcycle appears to ride on a 21-inch front wheel and an 18-inch rear wheel with dual-purpose tyres. Hero could offer either tube-type or tubeless tyres. Braking duties seem to come from a front disc with radial-mounted calipers and a rear disc brake.
The new Hero Xpulse 421 will likely use a liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed gearbox. While Hero has not shared the power figures yet, the output may sit between the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 and KTM 390 Adventure. Moreover, the test bike appears to include a quickshifter.
The motorcycle also features a fully digital display, which will perhaps be a TFT unit with smartphone connectivity. Riders can also expect features such as ride modes, cruise control, traction control, and switchable ABS.
Hero has not announced an official launch date yet. However, since testing continues in different conditions, the company could unveil the Xpulse 421 at EICMA 2026 in Milan this November. If that happens, the adventure motorcycle may become one of the biggest highlights of the international motor show.
