Hero Xpulse 421 Testing Continues Before Official Launch

Hero MotoCorp has once again spotted testing the upcoming Hero Xpulse 421 on Indian roads. A new spy video gives a closer look at the motorcycle, although heavy camouflage still hides most of its design. Even so, the latest sighting reveals several important details about Hero's new adventure bike. In addition, the motorcycle appears to be in the final stages of development, which suggests that its official launch may not be far away.

Adventure-Focused Design Comes Into View

Despite the camouflage, the latest test mule clearly shows that the Hero Xpulse 421 has been designed for adventure touring. The motorcycle features a tall windscreen, a large fuel tank, and a long-travel suspension setup. Furthermore, it gets wire-spoke wheels, high ground clearance, and an upright riding position that should make long-distance touring more comfortable.

Like other premium Hero Bikes, the Xpulse 421 aims to combine everyday usability with off-road capability. Perhaps these design elements will help the motorcycle handle rough roads as well as highway rides with ease.

New 421cc Engine Expected

The upcoming Xpulse 421 is expected to use an all-new 421cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine paired with a six-speed gearbox. Although Hero has not revealed the official power and torque figures, the new engine should offer a noticeable improvement over the smaller Xpulse 210.

However, Hero has not announced an official launch date yet. Even so, the repeated test sightings indicate that the motorcycle is getting closer to production.
