Hero Xpulse 210 vs Kawasaki KlX 230 Comparison: Specs & Features

Hero MotoCorp recently launched the new XPulse 210 at Auto Expo 2025 at Rs 1.76 lakh (ex-showroom). In the 200-250cc dual-sport bike market, the new XPulse 210 competes with the recently launched Kawasaki KLX 230, which costs a whopping Rs 3.3 lakh (ex-showroom). Here we compare Hero Xpulse 210 vs Kawasaki KLX 230.

Hero Xpulse 210 vs Kawasaki KLX 230: Engine

Similar to the Karizma XMR 210, the Hero XPulse 210 is powered by a larger 210cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine. At its peak, it generates 24.2 bhp and 20.7 Nm of torque. On the other hand, the Kawasaki KLX 230 has a 233cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that generates 17.8 bhp and 19.8 Nm of torque. Both motorcycles have a six-speed gearbox, but the XPulse has a slip-and-assist clutch as well. With a more power output of 4.4 bhp and a torque of 0.9 Nm, the XPulse is more potent than the KLX.

Hero Xpulse 210 vs Kawasaki KLX 230: Specifications

The Hero XPulse 210 has a 10-step adjustable rear monoshock with 205mm travel and a front telescopic fork with 210mm suspension travel. In contrast, the Kawasaki KLX 230 features a rear monoshock with 250mm wheel travel and a front telescopic fork with 240mm wheel travel.

The KLX 230's braking system comprises a 265mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc brake. On the other hand, the XPulse 210 employs dual-channel ABS with 276mm front and 220mm petal disc brakes. Both bikes have dual-sport tube tyres and spoke wheels that are 21 inches in front and 18 inches in back. Overall, this indicates that the XPulse appears to be the more desired of the two in terms of hardware as well.

The Hero XPulse 210 features an appropriate dual-sport stance. It has a taller windscreen, a flatter seat, and a new H-shaped LED daytime running light. Along with a streamlined tail section and a larger tail rack for mounting baggage, it also has redesigned side panels.

In contrast, the Kawasaki KLX 230's dirt bike-inspired design makes it seem spectacular. It has thin bodywork, dirt-bike-like fenders, a flat seat, and a single-piece headlight. The upswept exhaust on both bikes improves their ability to wade through water.

The Hero XPulse 210 has a 4.2-inch LCD/TFT instrument panel, turn-by-turn navigation, and smartphone connectivity. Additionally, it features a USB charging port. A ride-by-wire throttle, switchable rear ABS, and three riding modes—road, off-road, and rally—are among the XPulse 210's rider aid features.

On the other hand, the Kawasaki KLX 230 lacks turn-by-turn navigation but has a basic LCD instrument display and smartphone connectivity with SMS and call notifications. Additionally, the rear ABS is switchable. As a result, compared to the KLX 230 and XPulse 210 has considerably more features and rider aids.
