Hero MotoCorp August Sales Cross 5.68 Lakh, Scooters Surge 43%

Hero MotoCorp recorded total sales of 568,398 units in August 2026, marking a 2.65% increase compared to 553,727 units sold in August 2025. The company saw strong growth in scooter sales and domestic sales, while motorcycle sales and exports declined during the month.

Hero MotoCorp recorded 542,305 units in domestic sales, showing a 4.46% growth over 519,139 units sold in August 2025. This indicates continued growth in the company's domestic sales during the month.

Meanwhile, exports declined by 24.56%, with 26,093 units shipped compared to 34,588 units in the same period last year.

Hero Motorcycle sales stood at 493,851 units, registering a 1.53% decline compared to 501,523 units sold in August 2025. Meanwhile, Hero scooter sales grew strongly by 42.80% to 74,547 units from 52,204 units last year. The company recorded this growth in the scooter segment due to strong demand for models like Hero Xoom 110 and Pleasure Plus Xtec.

On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, Hero MotoCorp maintained strong growth momentum, with total sales reaching 2,779,127 units. This represents a 17.24% increase compared to 2,370,552 units sold during the same period last year.

Domestic sales stood at 2,615,815 units, marking a 17.07% rise over 2,234,193 units in YTD FY 2026. Exports also increased by 19.77%, reaching 163,312 units compared to 136,359 units in the previous year.

The company sold 2,446,671 motorcycles and 332,456 scooters during the period. Notably, the scooter segment recorded strong growth of 70.93%, while motorcycle sales increased by 12.44%. Some of the models that drive this growth include Hero Xtreme 125R, Xpulse 200 4V, and Karizma XMR.

Overall, Hero MotoCorp's YTD sales remained on a growth trajectory, supported by higher domestic sales and strong growth across both motorcycles and scooters.
