Hero Sales October 2023 - Marked 26% YoY Growth with 5.74 Lakh Units Sold

The ongoing festive season has boosted company sales to a great extent. With new products in the premium segment on the horizon, Hero MotoCorp is all set for even stronger sales in the coming months. October 2023 concluded on a high note for the company, with 5.74 Lakhs scooter & motorcycle sales, marking an impressive 26% YoY growth.

The recently launched Harley Davidson X440 was co-developed with Harley-Davidson. The bookings and test rides were reopened in October 2023. Since its debut, the company has received an overwhelming 25,000 bookings. To kick start the Navratri festival, Hero MotoCorp delivered 1000 units across 100 dealerships in India on the first day.
 

Moreover, the company inaugurated a new dealership - ‘Hero Premia’ in Calicut, Kerala. The company’s premium range – Karizma XMR, Vida V1 scooters and Harley-Davidson X440 will be displayed at this dealership.
 

Hero MotoCorp sold 5,74,930 units (motorcycles + scooters) (domestic sales + exports) in October 2023, as opposed to 4,54,582 units sold in October 2022. This marked a 26% growth compared to last year. Additionally, YTD sales also witnessed improvements, with 33,44,030 units sold in the April-October 2023 period, compared to 32,72,943 units sold in the same period of 2022.
 

Motorcycle sales witnessed impressive YoY growth, with 5,29,341 units sold in October 2023 compared to 4,19,568 units sold in October 2022. In addition, the YTD sales increased to 30,99,029 units during the April-October 2023 period, as opposed to 30,58,185 units sold in the same period a year ago.
 

The demand for Scooters also increased both on a YoY & YTD basis. The sales improved with 45,589 units sold in October 2023, as opposed to 35,014 units sold in October 2022. On the other hand, on a YTD basis, scooter sales improved with 2,45,001 units sold compared to 214,758 sold during FY23.
 

Out of 5,74,930 units sold in October 2023, domestic sales stood at 5,59,766 units, while exports were at 15,164 units. This was significantly higher compared to domestic sales of 4,42,825 units and exports of 11,757 units in October 2022. YTD domestic sales also witnessed improvement, with 32,40,956 units sold in April-October 2023 compared to 31,60,105 units sold in April-October 2022 period. However, exports witnessed a fall with 1,03,074 units exported in the FY24 period compared to 1,12,838 units exported in FY23.

In October 2023, a total of 5,74,930 units were sold, with 5,59,766 units sold domestically & 15,164 units exported. This marked a significant improvement, with 4,42,825 units sold domestically and 11,757 units exported compared to 2022. YTD domestic sales increased with 2,40,956 units sold in April-October 2023 compared to 31,60,105 units sold in October 2022. However, the exports witnessed a fall of 1,03,074 units sold in the FY24 period compared to 1,12,838 units exported in FY23.
