Hero MotoCorp has launched the new flex-fuel versions of the Splendor+ and HF Deluxe in India. The company has priced the Splendor+ Flex Fuel at Rs 82,710 and the HF Deluxe Flex Fuel at Rs 72,792 (ex-showroom, Delhi). With this launch, Hero brings new fuel technology to its most popular commuter bikes.
These Hero motorcycles can run on ethanol blends from E20 to E85. This means riders can use fuel with a higher ethanol mix, which may help reduce fuel costs and support cleaner mobility.
Hero will start selling these bikes in Delhi and some parts of Maharashtra from July 2026. After that, the company plans to expand availability across India. This step shows how Hero wants to introduce flex-fuel technology in the mass commuter segment.

Both bikes use the same 97.2cc single-cylinder engine. However, the brand has updated this engine to support ethanol-blended fuel. In E85 mode, the engine produces 8.6 hp at 8,000 rpm and 8.3 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm.
In addition, Hero has made several changes to support this technology. The company has updated the ECU, added a new fuel pump, and included a secondary fuel filter. These updates help the bike handle higher ethanol blends smoothly.

Both motorcycles come with useful features for daily riding. They include a digi-analogue instrument cluster, tubeless tyres, and a side-stand engine cut-off system.
The Splendor+ also gets Hero’s i3S idle stop-start system. This feature helps save fuel in city traffic.
The HF Deluxe Flex Fuel costs just Rs 172 more than its E20 version. On the other hand, the Splendor+ Flex Fuel costs Rs 5,153 more than the standard model. Even so, Hero keeps the price increase quite low to attract more buyers.
Interestingly, Splendor+ and HF Deluxe already make up a large share of bikes on Indian roads. In fact, one out of every three motorcycles belongs to these families.
The government continues to push for higher ethanol use in fuel. Because of this, Hero has taken a step forward by bringing flex-fuel technology to everyday bikes. Earlier, this technology mostly appeared in bigger or concept models.
However, this launch changes that trend. It brings advanced fuel options to common riders. Perhaps this move will encourage more brands to follow the same path in the future.
