Harley-Davidson has introduced a new motorcycle for buyers looking for a compact cruiser with classic styling. The new Harley-Davidson Sprint 440 will make its public debut at EICMA 2026 in Milan. It carries a starting price of £4,995 (approximately Rs. 6 lakh) in the UK. Here is everything you need to know about its design, engine, features, and specifications.

The new Harley Davidson Sprint 440 brings back a familiar name from Harley-Davidson's history. The original Sprint arrived in 1961 as a lightweight motorcycle for younger and less experienced riders. The latest model follows a similar approach with compact dimensions and traditional cruiser styling.
Its design includes a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, round headlamp, stepped seat, shortened rear mudguard and single exhaust. In addition, it gets machined aluminium wheels and an orange graphic on the fuel tank.
Buyers can choose from three international colour options: Dark Billiard Grey, Vivid Black and Teal Thunder.

The Sprint 440 uses a 440cc air- and oil-cooled single-cylinder engine. It produces 26.7bhp at 6,000rpm and 38Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. A 6-speed gearbox handles transmission duties, while an assist-and-slipper clutch supports gear changes.
Harley-Davidson has tuned the engine to deliver useful torque at lower speeds. Perhaps this setup will appeal to riders who prefer relaxed city journeys and highway trips. The company also claims a fuel efficiency figure of up to 34kmpl under combined riding conditions.
The motorcycle gets 43mm upside-down front forks with 130mm travel and twin rear shock absorbers with seven-step preload adjustment. Its braking setup includes a 320mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc with ABS.
It rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear cast aluminium wheels with 100/90 and 150/60 section tyres, respectively.
The Sprint 440 also features a circular 3.5 inch colour TFT display, full-LED lighting and a USB-C charging port above the headlamp. Moreover, its optional accessories include a detachable windscreen, saddlebags, passenger backrest, engine guard and alternative handlebars.
Its claimed laden seat height stands at 671mm, while its running weight is around 189kg. Harley-Davidson will also offer optional Reach and Tallboy seats for different rider heights.
The Sprint 440 has a 9-litre fuel tank and 147mm ground clearance. However, these figures are worth considering for Indian buyers, especially when compared with the India-spec X440's larger 13.5-litre fuel tank.
