Electric Scooter Yamaha E01 Introduced in Japan

Yamaha E01, currently available for Rental Basis, offers a range of 104 km!

Yamaha has started the official rental service for its E01 electric scooter in Japan. It conducted an experimental lease program last year to gather feedback from potential users. Interested customers can now rent the E01 from select Yamaha dealerships in Japan.

Battery Specification of Yamaha E01

The Yamaha E01 electric scooter features a 4.9 kWh fixed lithium-ion battery that powers an 8.1 kW motor capable of delivering 104 km of range on a single charge. The scooter also has a portable charger to allow riders to recharge the battery if needed. Additionally, Yamaha provides rentals of the E01 to riders above 20 years and possessing a valid driving license.

Features of Yamaha E01

The Yamaha E01 has advanced features, including an LCD console, LED lighting, and a keyless ignition system. The scooter also has Bluetooth connectivity that can pair with a smartphone to access various features, such as navigation and remote vehicle diagnostics. It also has a parking assist system that helps the rider easily park the scooter.

Competition of Yamaha E01 in the Indian Market

India's electric scooter market has been growing steadily, and several domestic manufacturers launched their electric scooter models in the country. Some brands like Ola, Bajaj, Ather, TVS, Hero, and Revolt are popular among Indian customers due to their performance, features, and affordability. Therefore, Yamaha needs to compete with these established players in the Indian EV market and develop competitive pricing and features. Yamaha already showcased E01 to selected dealers in the Indian market.
