Ducati made a bold statement at EICMA 2025 in Milan with the reveal of the new Hypermotard V2 and V2 SP. These new models take the brand’s signature supermoto character to the next level, focusing on improved performance, reduced weight, and sharper styling. Together, they aim to deliver an ideal mix of power, agility, and everyday practicality.
The Hypermotard V2 is an all-new 890cc V2 motor that puts out 120.4bhp and 94Nm of torque. The engine comes with a six-speed gearbox. Compared to the outgoing L-twin motor, the new mill makes more horsepower, though torque is lower by 2 Nm. Still, this is balanced by the focus of Ducati on weight reduction.
The standard Hypermotard V2 tips the scale at a mere 180kg (wet, without fuel), while its more extreme SP sibling weighs just 177 kg. That makes both bikes relatively agile and manageable. This should offer up sharper performance and better control, especially in tight corners and urban environments.
Visually, it looks even more aggressive than the Hypermotard V2 ever did: its sleek, beak front, slim bodywork, and wide handlebars give it an acclaimed supermoto stance. This motorcycle exudes speed and precision from every angle.
Additionally, Ducati has worked on the ergonomics, offering a comfortable 880mm seat height that makes the bike easier to manage for more riders while keeping its sporty personality intact.
The bike features an aluminium monocoque chassis, with the engine acting as a stressed member for improved rigidity and balance. The Kayaba fully adjustable suspension on the standard V2 and Öhlins setup on the SP ensure precise handling and comfort.
The bike offers twin 320mm front discs with Brembo calipers, providing confident stopping power. On the tech front, Ducati has packed in cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, and multiple riding modes for a complete and safe riding experience.
