Bajaj Auto Takes Over Entire Triumph India Dealerships, Sales & Marketing Operations

The non-equity partnership between Bajaj & Triumph, which began in August 2017, is finally entering its second phase. Recently, Bajaj Auto announced that they would take over Triumph’s entire dealership network in India and its sales & marketing operations. 

Currently, Bajaj Auto operates Chetak, Bajaj 2W & 3W and KTM dealerships across the country, making Triumph its 5th dealership channel. Triumph has 15 dealer showrooms in India and will remain exclusive to the British brand. 

After this second phase in moti0n, Mr Sumeet Narang will head the Bajaj Probiking. Meanwhile, Mr Shoeb Farooq, Triumph India's Head, will transfer to the Bajaj Chetak division. Bajaj Auto will expand the Triumph dealership network from 15 to 120 outlets across India over the next 2 years. 

Speaking about this, the Executive Director of Bajaj Auto - Rakesh Sharma, said, “We are very excited that the time to bring the results of the joint work of Triumph & Bajaj Auto teams is drawing closer. We welcome the Triumph dealerships into the Bajaj Auto family and offer them an opportunity to further build their business as the portfolio expands. We will also leverage our formidable distribution network to rapidly expand the exclusive Triumph stores in India in preparation for the soon-to-be-launched, exciting new motorcycles.”

The Chief Commercial Officer at Triumph Motorcycles Ltd, Paul Stroud, said, “This is an important partnership for Triumph which continues to progress very well.
