Ather Energy Sales Report 2023 January: Announces 1,00,000 Unit Production

Ather Energy has come a long way since it first started out in terms of both innovation and output. Additionally, a manufacturing milestone has been declared: 1,00,000 units in January 2023. A True Red Ather 450X, a new colour choice that was initially displayed in January 2023, is the rollout unit.

Ather Energy needed 35 months to produce its initial 10K units. It reached the 20k manufacturing threshold during the following five months. And it would take an additional 5 months to sell 30k units. After that, there was the component of speed to meet the demand.

To attain a production of 40k units, it required 3 months to produce the subsequent 10k units. The fastest 10k unit manufacturing timetable was another two months to reach 50k units. On August 30, 2022, that happened. Ather Energy has since produced another 50k units, less than 6 months after the first batch.

Sales of Ather electric scooters surpassed the 12,000 mark in January 2023. Both the YoY and the MoM growth rates were 330%. The Ather Energy manufacturing timeline demonstrates a gradual growth in output, beginning with the first 10,000 units, which took 35 months to construct. This is consistent with initial Ather scooter sales of a few hundred units each month. After that, production procedures were ramped up to produce goods more quickly and efficiently as demand rose. The shorter manufacturing times of 20K and 30K units, 5 months apiece, made this clear.

It just takes 2 months to generate 10K units and surpass the 50K unit threshold by August 2022. In less than six months, Ather Energy was able to maintain momentum and produce another 50K units. The company's ability to swiftly adjust and streamline its production processes to suit the rising demand for its electric scooters is responsible for this notable boost in production. Ather opened its second manufacturing facility in November 2022 to keep up.

Sales for December 2022 increased by 27% MoM to 9,187 units, a YoY increase from 1,878 units. Sales were lower at 7,458 units by the end of Q1 (Jan, Feb, March) 2022. By the end of 2022, Ather Energy had one of the highest sales of EVs, with 59,123 units sold as opposed to 17,272 in 2021. Sales increased throughout the course of the year, hitting 24,634 units in Q4 2022 and 40,868 units in the second half of 2022. It is simple to understand why Ather Energy's production has significantly increased recently.
