Ather Energy has confirmed that its fourth Community Day will take place on August 29, 2026, in Bengaluru. The biggest attraction at the event will be the launch of the first production scooter based on the brand's all new EL platform. In addition, Ather will also showcase new technologies, charging solutions, and ownership features designed to improve the overall EV experience.

The upcoming Ather Electric Scooter is expected to take inspiration from the EL01 concept shown earlier. It features a clean and family friendly design with a boxy body, a handlebar mounted LED headlight, and apron mounted DRLs. In addition, the scooter is likely to offer a long single piece seat, a spacious floorboard, and a large underseat storage area, making it suitable for daily commuting.
Perhaps the biggest highlight is the new EL platform itself. It supports battery packs ranging from 2kWh to 5kWh, although the first production model is expected to use a mid-sized battery. The scooter could also use a motor related to the Ather 450X, but with tuning focused on smoother everyday performance.

Ather is expected to equip the new scooter with several premium features. These may include a TFT display, turn by turn navigation, smartphone connectivity, voice commands, reverse mode, hill hold assist, and cruise control.
In addition, the scooter is likely to feature AtherStack 7, which brings useful safety functions such as crash alerts and pothole alerts. It may also receive Advanced Electrical Braking System (AEBS), which combines regenerative braking with conventional braking for better efficiency and improved control.
The upcoming Ather EL01 is expected to be priced between Rs. 1 lakh and Rs. 1.25 lakh (ex showroom). This pricing will help Ather compete in the fast growing mass market electric scooter segment.
However, the company has not revealed the official specifications yet. Once launched, the scooter will rival models such as the Bajaj Chetak C2501, TVS Orbiter, Ampere Nexus, and Vida VX2. With its new platform, modern features, and expected competitive pricing, the Ather EL01 could become an important addition to Ather's growing electric scooter portfolio.
