Ampere Magnus Grand Launched in India at Rs 89,999

Tamil Nadu-based electric two-wheeler maker Ampere has launched the 2025 Ampere Magnus Grand in India, priced at Rs 89,999 (ex-showroom). This new model is positioned as an upgraded version of the Magnus Neo, costing Rs 5,000 more.

The Magnus Grand offers a slightly more premium feel with new features and a refreshed paint scheme. This makes it suitable for urban commuters and family riders alike. Let’s know more about this Ampere electric scooter. 

What’s New in the Magnus Grand

The Magnus Grand comes with two new colours: Ocean Blue and Matcha Green. Both paint schemes feature contrasting graphics, which give the scooter a fresh and stylish look. In addition, the Magnus Grand comes with gold-finish badging, a redesigned silver grab rail, and a more comfortable seat with a brown-coloured seat cover.

The scooter also gets a new LCD instrument console that offers better visibility and is easier to read. Moreover, the optional connectivity features add more convenience for modern riders.

Performance and Mechanical Features

The scooter uses a removable 2.3 kWh LFP battery that powers a motor with 1.5 kW nominal output and 2.4 kW peak output. The claimed range is 118 km. Moreover, it can reach a top speed of 65 kmph and accelerates from 0 to 40 kmph in about 6.5 seconds. The battery charges fully in 5-6 hours using a 7.5A charger.

The Magnus Grand retains its steel tube frame, telescopic front forks, twin rear shock absorbers, and 12-inch steel wheels with 90-section tyres. The scooter also comes with drum brakes on both ends with CBS (Combined Braking System). Furthermore, it weighs 108 kg and can carry up to 150 kg and climb slopes up to 12 degrees.

Features for Daily Commuting

The scooter offers 22 litres of under-seat storage, a cubby hole in the apron, reverse mode, and three ride modes: Eco, City, and Power. These features make it convenient for daily commuting and family trips. In addition, Ampere provides a 3-year/30,000 km warranty on the vehicle and a 5-year/75,000 km warranty on the battery.
